The CHLA invites organizations active in the Canadian healthcare industry to join us. Membership is exercised by individual representatives who must have direct responsibility for negotiating and/or approving strategic alliances for the organizations they represent.
Strategic alliances are understood as:
- The licensing-in or licensing-out of products or services
- The co-promotion or co-marketing of products or services
- The co-development of products or services
- The buying or selling of products or services
Organizations eligible for membership include:
- Companies that develop or supply prescription and non-prescription pharmaceuticals, diagnostic products, surgical supplies and health & beauty aids.
- Companies that promote or sell to pharmacies (directly or indirectly), to MDs or to consumers (in accordance with governmental and professional regulations).
- R&D organizations seeking to out-license healthcare products or services in Canada.
- University or other research-based institutions active in healthcare.
- Healthcare consultants who facilitate strategic alliances.
- Companies that provide seed financing for the healthcare industry.
New members are subject to approval by the Membership Committee.
